This has to be one of the most exciting things to ever happen in the cell phone industry since Apple popped the iPhone. Blackberrys clamshell has just been scooped by the Boy Genius Report. Called as the Blackberry Kickstart, RIM is planning a launch later this year.

We are assured that this is not a hoax since there were some rumors earlier and in any case BGRs trackrecord is proof enough. it uses a SureType keyboard, has an external LCD, and a pretty decent looking internal LCD. It also uses the TrackBall for navigation and does have a camera.
