Fingerprint Door lock

Posted by Funkyguy on May 27, 2008 5:15 AM

This is straight out of Hollywood. while I knew that these existed in real life and that they are available for the retail user, I never thought that they could be so affordable. I am of course talking about the latest in home security - the door lock which uses finger prints rather then keys.

Not only does this make the doors more secure and resistant to entry by use of skeleton keys, it also means no more ensuring that you took your house keys with you while rushing out. The door locks can be installed for right hand or left hand use.

The lock can store upto 120 users prints in its memories, so unless you are staying in a some sort of village where everyone lives in one huge house - its going to be sufficient.

Features

  • Bump Key Lock Safe
  • Designed for unsurpassed security and convenience.
  • Automatic locking, never leave your door unlocked again.
  • Solid construction with the PCB sealed with epoxy to prevent moisture, corrosion and loosening.
  • Fingerprint verification and door lock combined in single unit for easy installation.
  • Available for left hand and right hand opening doors.
  • Stainless steel tubular single deadlatch mortise.
  • Fingerprints can be enrolled/erased on the lock directly with lock on door
Its certainly secure enough and the lock can also be set to automatically lock once the door is closed. At 200$ , I think its a steal. Though a eye-reading lock would be way more cooler, I betcha it wont even be in the near vicinity of this kind of pricing.
