What differentiates between something right or wrong. If you go legally, then you could very well be morally wrong but legally right. So where exactly are hackers supposed to draw the line? A man used a script to gain 50,000$ in a questionable way that has been found illegal. As anyone who has generated a Paypal account knows, the system makes a small deposit into your savings bank account (worth a few pennies) to authenticate that its indeed your account.

A guy wrote a script to fool this system by giving it multiple IDs and totalling up 50,000$ into his account before being caught and arrested.
Of course in our case, the man in question did use multiple fake identities to gain what he wanted, thus deciding the case against him. A detailed look at the terms and services though find nothing illegal about the whole thing - nothing to suggest that you could not have multiple accounts in fact.
