Just like in the world wars, the second edition of the browser wars is upon us. This time its not just Internet Explorer and Mozilla but a surprise third entrant who is flexing its muscles - Safari. So far Safari had been content to sit it out in the corner but Apple is now pushing its browser onto non-Mac machines as well. As for Internet Explorer and Mozilla,

the latter is promising some literally earth shattering changes to how we perceive and browse the web. Microsoft with the IE 8 isnt far behind either. One new tool, Web slices, allows a user to bookmark a dynamic piece of a Web site, like an online auction or a sports score, and save it in the margin of the browser, where the user can watch as it changes.
As the browser war unfolds in the coming months, we shall keep you updated with front row seats. So keep coming back with bookmarks, favorites or whatever it is you do with your browser to return to this site. Happy surfing till then.
