It could very well be possible. Not the Star Wars original robot of course, just the R2D2 that came out as a projector some time back. Its now been upgraded to support high definition and I thought it reason enough to rename it.

The new R3-D2 sports the ability to project a screen up to 260 inches wide, features 1800 lumens brightness and an amazing 1800:1 contrast ratio. Users can plug in anything from an iPod to a flash memory card, USB drive, and even a game console for those late night Star Wars Force Unleashed forays online in full HD.

My favorite feature is easily the one where in the lil robot projects the movie I wish to see on to the ceiling as I lie down after a hard days work. Did I mention he even does surround sound at the same time? And has a FM radio in case you dont want to tire your eyes out. Its being produced in limited quantities and each one costs about USD 2900.
