The Robocops of the world that did get made into the real world were so far restricted to going into war zones or helping the army defuse / find out mines and bombs. However the threat gets increasingly real when a company decides to make a robot with Metal Storm (the purveyor of 1,000,000 round/minute superguns) to be used for local law enforcement. They are even planning on using this bitch for infrastructure protection to crows control.

Fancy terms all these but obviously the makers never saw Robocop. Its just not a good idea to give a gun to a robot and then give the gun toting robot titles such as crowd controller. I dont know about you, but I just thought about getting some Kevlar for daily use.
