Sharp has just announced the smallest 5 megapiel camera ever. James Bond never had it so good. Even 007 had to make do with those disgusting grainy photographs which he was forced to take when he used a spy cam. But with a 5-megapixel CMOS camera that measures just 9.5 x 9.5 x 6.6mm - even he had to admit that this was one must have.
A quick look at the accompanying image is easy to see how small the lens really is. While its great for spy applications, its even better for cell phones and the likes where manufacturers dont want to waste size and weight on anything that can give away points to the competition. Maybe this RJ63SC100 can finally put the few VGA cameras still around to rest in peace.
