While SonyEricsson hasnt made any mention yet, we got it from the next best source: Handango. Handango, in case you didnt know is one of the foremost suppliers of apps for cell phones. As such they are in constant contact with manufacturers and have the inside knowledge about release dates.

Their website is currently asking for developers to get into gear to produce stuff for the Xperia which they say will definitely release in September of 2008. Evidently, the phone shall release in ultiple markets at the same time since SonyEricsson requires your product to support the WVGA screensize (800x480) and multiple languages (International English, French, German, Italian and Spanish).
