I read somewhere that some rich millionaire dude has had his house programmed to recognise him (he wears a RFID tag) and so that the level of ambient lighting, music, temperature etc just follow him from room to room. He doesnt need to make any adjustments upon entering a room, its all automatically taken care off. Now while I dont knwo how you could do the lighting and temperature bit, here is a gadget that lets you do that with the music part. Its called the AMP or Automated Musical Personality.
The AMP is a simple robot which is like your personal butler endowed with some rather large ahem speakers. It has gyroscopic technology allowing it to balance itself and follow you around the house while playing your sound track all along. You could even control it with a remote and send it after someone else. Currently debuting in Japan, no idea about the west.
