The Google Android has one thing that defnitely works in its favour. It comes from Google. Its a company that boasts to be as creative and ingenious as Apple. Tools and applications coming from Google have been as well liked by users as those coming from Apple. With the Android operating system, Google is finally taking on Apple. So far the two giants have avoided each others hunting grounds but given their growth rates it was only a matter of time.

The iPhone has already established itself as a major player while the Android has been plagued by delays. So the question is will the final product - the Android really hold up a candle to Apple? The Android is different from the iPhone in that its open source. It allows anyone to fiddle around with the basic system and come up with a product as they desire.
Apple meanwhile holds the reins very tightly in its hands , allows only developers that it thinks have the potential to come up with applications that would be on the quality that they need. Plus, Apple has to approve the applications in the first place. This allows them to contorl every aspect of the phone making sure that the end result is a smooth perfectly working device in the users hands.
The Androids strength could also be its downfall since it would not allow Google to have a lot of control in every aspect of the system. But it may not work. Google may end up with going Apples way if and when the G phone finally puts in an appearance. But it may take time for Google to learn. Thats of course after Androids release. For now we can only hope that Google gives it all it has for the Android. Truly, the future lies in the mobile industry as both these industry giants have realised.
