Finally taking pity on soldiers lugging around backpacks weighing at times half their weight thanks to the power hungry laptops, the military has placed a follow-on for lappies which get their buzz from methanol power cells. Just kidding about the batteries filling up the power packs but obviously its better if they did not have to rely on batteries. They do have that annoying habit of going up in flames when its the last thing you want to happen.

With this contract in place, the company (Ultracell) which claims to have a system allowing laptops to run for up to 8 hours on such cells will be able to do field testing and military field demonstrations to impress upon the army that these should deifnitely be bought.
