For those of you who were taken in by Amazons Kindle , there is good news. Amazon is coming up with a newer better Kindle, the Kindle 2. The newer model will be lighter as well as thinner then the current one. They should come out in October and sometime next year, respectively, though no word on pricing. Amazon is even planning on getting the gadget in several different colors to appeal to the youth.

Me? I am just going to plug in my iPhone twice a day to charge and use it as my e-book reader too. After all theres nothing wrong with the display and the interface lends itself amazingly well to this kind of usage too. Now if only the battery were something comparable to the Kindle. As for the new Kindle(s) , the rumour is that there will be two versions out. One will be similar to the earlier Kindle with an updated interface but a similarly sized screen. The other one shall be much bigger and shaped like a 8 1/2 x 11-inch piece of paper.
