Apple puts iPhone production into Overdrive mode

Apple has had high hopes for the new iPhone ever since its annoucement. However initial feedback given by carriers around the world once the pricing was announced has been so good that Apple has been forced to revise its earlier estimates.

To make sure that the carriers dont run out of iPhones too soon and risk upsetting the customers, the Mac maker has decided to produce 15 million units of the iPhone in 2008.

That should easily reach and beat the estimates that critics were worried about.
