Following the public outrage in Canada due to the disgustingly high prices that are to be levied by Rogers for selling the iPhone 3G in the country, Apple is finally taking notice. Following an angry letter by Canadians to Steve Jobs, Apple is supposedly punishing Rogers by shipping less then the promised quantity of cell phones and redirecting shipments to elsewhere.

Greedy Rogers being a monopoly have been hoping to cash in majorly due to their deal with Apple but this may yet force them to think more about the customers then their own pockets. Stores may just be getting 10 or 20 handsets each.
Just makes us wonder; who exactly is being punished - the consumers or Rogers? Though it does follow on the call by Canadian bloggers to boycott Rogers and continue to by jail broken devices from the US of A.
