Most of us may shout ourselves hoarse over the need to go green, to recycle , to save and consume thoughtfully ; but that certainly does not halt the march of capitalism. Disposable cell phones which I may grudgingly admit are convenient when you go to a foreign country , arent exactly the most environment friendly of ways to reduce your carbon footprint.
But if you must, BIC has come up with their own variety of such cell phones. The phones will be available in Europe starting next month for around $80. Out of the box it has 60 minutes already loaded and a full battery, so you need do nothing more than start dialing. The handsets can be activated on Orange later if you wish to continue using it. Please spare a thought before tossing it in the bin however, the handsets can be recycled - and must be.
