Cell Phones to tell you where to Park
July 17, 2008

This fascinaating project has already begun in San Francisco and depending on the results, the project may be followed up world wide for some much needed savings in time , fuel and hot tempers. About 6,000 parking spots are to be included in this experiment in which maps on GPS or handheld devices will show motorists the nearest empty parking spots and even guide them there.

The drivers could even use their cell phones to feed the parking meters from afar as and when time is running out.
