Cementing their reputation as the fake capital of the world, Beijing has erected several statues of a fake Mickey Mouse presumably to welcome guests.

I do wonder what the poor official who approved this project is going to get as a reward for his services. The statues are already creating stirs since it proves how non-existent intellectual or copyright protection is in China. Its certainly not the face that China wants to show the world at Beijing 2008.
