With all the will they , wont they about making the G phone - here is another argument which presents that Google should not be making the G-phone. This despite the rather impressive arguments (or so I thought) put forward by me why it would make more sense for Google to go forward and actually make the G phone.
To sum up the latest anti G phone tirade, its basically more beneficial for Google to concentrate on getting out a superb piece of software namely Android and leave the hardware to the experts. While Apples latest success may lead us to believe otherwise, if you look out of the hype ; the truth is that Apple holds a marketshare of say 10 million handsets. Thats after including the success of the iPhone 3G.
The total market of handsets is 1 billion. Which leaves 990 million potential customers for Google to take over. It would be infinitely easier for Google to do so by just having a software namely Android as compared to the whole hardware device.
