As any amateur gamer shall tell you, playing games off the CD or DVD is a sordid pain in the arse as compared to being able to play them directly off the hard disk. Its certainly true in computer games and the fact is that it holds true in gaming consoles such as the Xbox and Playstation too. It would be a major benefit to be able to play games directly off the hard disk in case of the Xbox 360 which is already equipped with a large hard disk drive.

After all PC gamers have long had the option of copying the game to their hard disk drives to reduce load times then why not console gamers? The same rule applies of keeping the CD inside the console so as to confirm that you do own the game. Microsoft is now adding these features to the Xbox 360 and have also added new resolutions to the list - 16X10 over VGA or HDMI, and support for 1440x900 or 1680x1050.
