Its eerily similar to the cassette players of yore ; yet its nothing but cutting edge technology at its best. Its been a while since iPods became compatible with car music players , but it either required a cord or one of those wireless units which would allow you to tune into your own FM frequency.

While I almost always managed to misplace the cord , the wireless left much to be desired in terms of quality. Either there were stations that caused unbearable interference or my antenna was just too stupid to be able to pick up a source originating from within the car.
Nothing was so easy as this DIMM method of simply inserting the iPod into the player much like a cassette. The display instantly recognises the input as an iPod and says so. Works with the iPod Classic, Nano and Touch, but no iPhone (probably due to the interference).
No word on price or release date.
