In what reminds us of the PR catastrophe that hit Dell and Nokia sometime back (yes, I am referring to the saga of the exploding batteries) ; at least one case has reported for the Apple iPhone 3G. There were already concerns of Apple being able to maintain quality control considering that they are going flat out to produce as many of the handsets, as quickly as possible but this still raises a few eye brows.

The person to whom this happened claims that he was asleep with the phone in his pocket when he woke up due to something extremely hot. Push email and 3G were supposedly off and the screen was also locked. So its not because of something he did.
Dont ask me why the handset in the picture looks so bleeding blue , nor why the dude had to shave his legs to show us the burn mark. Its for you to decide if its a fake or not. This incident happened a few days back and there have been no other similar postings anywhere else which does lead me to conclude that its a fake.
