While Polaroid was still around, no one gave it a second thought. People would scarcely even glance at this much more expensive medium of photography now that they had their multi megapixel monstrosities with them. Not only were the newer digital cameras able to provide a lot more features, they were also cheaper. Besides you could always take multiple pictures until you got the perfect expression and only then go ahead with printing it.
Worst case scenario was that you would have to brush up on those photoshop skills.
However once Polaroid announced the death of their classical instant camera ; the world was aghast. Almost everyone has had some sentimental remembrances of this camera. It used to be the coolest thing around to get photographed and have your picture in just a few moments. Well, if you felt like that then I have good news. Polaroid is bringing back the camera in a way with the Zink.
The new camera will go retro and enjoy the same 4x3 vertical rectangle size, which became the companys trademark. As of now you could even put in your suggestions as to what such a camera should have and Polaroid has promised to evaluate all suggestions seriously.
