I dont know whose brains are worse , that of the rodents or the scientists who actually gave a robotic body to be controlled by the brains of this pest to mankind. What else can one call this Frankensteinish display of technology which allows us to supposedly better understand how memories are laid out. I really dont know if someone is trying to learn how to make sure that the brains keep on functioning long after the body has rotten away, but its definitely something to be looked into.

The neurons are now being taught to steer the robot around obstacles and avoid the walls of the small pen in which it is kept. By studying what happens to the neurons as they learn its creators hope to reveal how memories are laid down.
As the cells are living tissue, they are kept separate from the robot in a temperature-controlled cabinet in a container pitted with electrodes. Signals are passed to and from the robot via Bluetooth short-range radio. The brain cells have been taught how to control the robots movements so it can steer round obstacles and the next step, say its creators, is to get it to recognize its surroundings.
So just hang in your boots, the return of the dead or the zombies or whichever is your worst nightmare shouldnt be too long in coming now.
