If you have promised your sweetheart a second honeymoon in say 4 years time then I have the perfect idea for you. What could be more romantic than a room facing the moon? Closer than you could ever have dreamt but made possible thanks to the Galactic suite space resort.

Travellers to Galactic Suite will undergo their astronautic preparation at a luxury hotel on a tropical island in the Caribbean. The team of engineers and architects of Galactic Suite have also designed the first spa in space, a bathroom module with zero gravity. The spa is a transparent sphere where guests can float and where for fun, a bubble filled with 20 liters of water can be played with and divided into thousands of smaller bubbles. Travelers can also maintain their fitness on special exercise bikes.

Each journey is likely to take 18 weeks including time for training, the stay at Galactic Suite and return spaceship transfers. The project is due for completion in 2012 and tickets will be on sale from as early as 2008. The price will be slightly more affordable that the current cost for a walk in space (US$35 million), with a three-day stay estimated at around €3 million (US$4 million).

Thirty eight travelers have already made reservations for the first flight which is scheduled for 2012.
