While Apple didnt want this to become public knowledge, one of the NDA signers has decided (for reasons unknown) to break their silence and make public the new features and screenshots of Safari. Users shall get the updated version of the browser with the iPhone OS 2.2 update.

From the pictures, it seems that Apple has pared down the unnecessary from the browser, removing the magnifying glass and refresh buttons from the top. The URL bar and search fields are now side-by-side, the way the desktop version of Safari does.
There will NOT be Flash support nor will there be any copy - paste. So quit hoping and keep updating.
