Imagine if your iPhone is stolen. Now imagine if the thief can access all your private data thanks to a button thats literally begging to be clicked since its screaming itself hoarse claiming to be private . Do you reckon he is gonna click it?
You better hope so mate, cuz thats the basis on which the iPhone Saviour software works. Called Private-I, the $1 application shows up as an icon on your handset that reads "PRIVATE" in big red letters, provoking thieves to open it.
When launched, Private-I loads a fake screen that says "Accessing pictures" and then uses the iPhone's location-based capabilities (GPS if you own an iPhone 3G; triangulation if you own a first-generation iPhone) to send you an e-mail with a Google Maps link containing coordinates of the thief's location.
