There have been numerous rumours about Nintendo working on a new iteration of its popular handheld gaming device. Its already time for those who are keeping count considering that the 'new' Nintendo DS didnt do much in terms of features except improve upon the displays and battery life.

However the DS in its second version would be significantly different. Its reported to even have an integrated camera to increase gameplay in ways which we cant even begin to imagine. Its expected to retail before the end of this year and prices are rumored to be well within the 200$ USD range. Other features are a more user friendly system as well as being able to use the gaming device as a wirefree data device. It wouldnt be hard to imagine Nintendo giving the DS more powers based on the WiFi that even its current version already has. Perhaps a built-in browser?
The original DS came out in 2004 with the DS lite appearing in 2006. Which would mean that 2008 is the next logical year for a new version.
