The Sanyo Xacti E2 isnt being featured on these pages for the first time. We already wrote about the second-generation waterproof camcorder a while back. Just to refresh your memories, the Sanyo Xacti E2 records MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 video and 8-megapixel stills under water to a depth of five feet for up to one hour at a time. Designed to operate with only one hand, the Sanyo Xacti E2 is aimed for users with an active lifestyle, including snow and water sports enthusiasts.

Features include a 2.5-inch LCD display that flips out and rotates, CMOS image sensor, 5x optical zoom, improved underwater scene mode promising improved color reproduction, as well as a Quick stand-by mode.
The good news is that unlike most cool products similar to these which are concept or worse available only in Japan ; the Xacti E2 has made it state side. Its available now in brilliant blue or pearlescent white for USD $400.
