Sony drops the Waterproof TV

Posted by Funkyguy on September 4, 2008 3:06 PM

Its not the first waterproof TV by a long shot. But I have always been partial to Sony when it comes to buying tellies. Their products are of superb quality and there are no two ways about saying so. The Bravia XDV-W600 isnot just water proof but also submersible upto 30 minutes. This means you could drop it into the pool or carry it around you almost anywhere without worrying about - no not ruining the set - but electrocution.

Super-portable, it has a 4-inch screen and 2GB memory for about 10 hrs. of recording. Get up to 23 hours of viewing time per charge. The mini-TV will retail in Japan on October 30 for ?9,800 (~$368.00). No word yet on availability elsewhere.
