Recall, how we mentioned that Nokia is taking up the Apple App store with its own Nokia Music store? Well Sony Ericsson decided to hop onto the bandwagon as well. They certainly cant afford to remain away from this game of one-upmanship or else risk the way Motorola has been completely sidelined. Sony Ericsson already has per-song agreements with EMI, Warner Music and Sony BMG, but does not currently have a partnership set up with Universal.

While the company itself hasnt confirmed anything, its in discussions with all major labels and wants to make an announcement soon allowing a launch around Christmas at least for the EU.
