They are calling it a worlds first , and with good reason - one never has heard of a rear airbag , window or not. Details at this point are not yet forthcoming but we do know that the airbag deploys from the roof lining above the rear window in case of a collision from behind.

The Toyota iQ - the latest compact car from the company shall be equipped with this airbag.
