The Audi A1 sportsback, when it arrives in 2010 promises to totally change these concepts.

Audi's 1.4-litre turbocharged TFSI unit, boasting 148bhp powers this little monster. Its the most powerful unit from Audi yet at this level. A further 150Nm of torque is sent to you courtesy of the 20kW electric motor. the satellite navigation even has a setting that can plot the most fuel efficient route to a destination, taking into account inclines and traffic density.

The car will allow the owner to switch it on using their cell phones, thus helping in warming / cooling the interiors and getting the oil flowing. When the A1 officially arrives in 2010, buyers can expect a wide range of engines ?including the latest small-capacity turbo petrols and super-clean diesels.

Prices are expected to be in the range of 15,000 pounds / 30,000 dollars USD.
