Charger of the Century : Powerwise
October 10, 2008

While I earnestly wait for wireless charging to finally make it out of the world of concepts and prototypes ; the study and bedroom looks like a mess of wires and chargers. You could probably find each and every type of charger and converter around the house from gaming consoles to cell phones to portable music players.

Dont even begin with telling me of using those tangle free solutions which tie up the wires neatly , I have tried them all and failed. I needed some out of the box thinking , and what designers Johanna Strand and Asa Elmstam are proposing is precisely it. Its simple yet exactly what the doctor ordered. There is a red switch by each socket so that you can turn individual sockets on and off therefore saving power by only having the chargers you need at any particular time on.

It doesnt take up much space , and can double as a side table. It ensures that you never loose track of your chargers or devices and finally, it looks infinitely better than long tangles of wires in every corner of the house.
