Flash on iPhone : Apple thinks about it

Posted by Funkyguy on October 1, 2008 4:04 PM

Adobe has finally borken its silence on Flash for the iPhone. Heaven knows what was cooking between them and Apple for so long, but Adobe has had enough of it. They have gone on the record about Flash on the iPhone. During a presentation at the Flash on the Beach expo today in the UK, Adobe Senior Director of Engineering Paul Betlem mentioned that the Flash development team was actively working on a release for the iPhone, but due to the closed nature of the handset, the final call would be Apple.

There were no further details such as whether it would be integrated in the browser (its definitely not on the new Safari that we previewed yesterday, we would have heard about it otherwise). How they do it , is not as important as will they or wont they. Someone definitely needs to sit down and show me Apples list of priorities where Flash and Cut/Copy - Paste dont figure at all.
