And its HD to boot. This 56 incher from Philips promises a stunning 840x2,160 resolution and some proprietory technology (not that we would have understood if they had bothered to explain) which allows users to view 3D images (this is as real as it gets) on a HD TV. Instead of relying as is tradition on those fugly glasses which make sure you look like the nerd inside you , this Quad Full Autostereoscopic 3D HDTVs rely on high-speed data delivery and four times the pixels of current maximum HDTV resolution.

This means that the TV is able to send multiple images to each eye taking advantage of the advanced processing power of nothing else then your brain to provide you with a 3D image. P.S. This sentence has just freaked me out since I am also a believer in companies being able to unconsciously influence desires by sending out hidden ads. Imagine you suddenly desiring a Big Mac for no apparent reason but its been being beamed to your brain over the past 30 minutes thanks to such tech.

Estimates put the cost of the 56-inch 3D HDTV at $25,000, though they are unofficial. Likewise, no timelines for a release are known.
