The Jetsons was at one time my favorite cartoon show. I did wonder even at that age though why a human would be needed to repeatedly press a button while watching the screen. Granted that George needed to pay attention to what was going on ; but couldnt they just make it voice operated - after all his finger did get sore at the end of the day.

Couch potatoes of today are pretty much in the same situation. While they certainly dont have to go out hunting for food like the Neanderthals, they still have to lift a finger (oh, the horrors of it all) to switch channels or raise the volume on the telly and thus put themselves at risk of stress injuries. Thankfully, the designers at Brookstone have come up with a voice operated universal remote control that shall ensure that you need only command the television to do your bidding.
Brookstone even claims that the remote can adapt to any language or accent without a problem. Remote is optimized for channel surfing and remembers your favorite channels. When you're tired, the remote will turn the TV off with a simple voice command. With its extensive built-in code library, it will never become obsolete, and it retains its settings when batteries are replaced. Uses 4 AAA batteries (not included).
At 40$ USD , I dont think its too expensive to give your poor finger some much needed rest.
