Its what normally happens during a storm provided the public works have maintained the storm drains - the heavy rainfall just ensures that the water rushes out through the drains quicker. Its something similar that seems to be happening with the Blackberry Storm. I am of course referring to the < click screen that attempts to set the smart phone aside from other touch screen based devices.

And boy oh boy, set apart it definitely does. The logic behind using the clickable touchscreen was to avoid the errors that users made when they clicked on normal touchscreens when they couldnt feel or see what they were fingering.
The click was supposed to ensure that you did not make such mistakes and make things easier. Well it doesnt. Let me explain , the clickable screen means that you need to push down completely on each occassion - and that takes time.
While screens such as that of the iPhone are relatively error prone, users who have been using these devices for a few weeks gradually get acclimatised to this manner of input and hardly make any more errors. Also, the screen doesnt seem firm when you do push in ; but it jiggles in the phones casing (not my words) which makes it feel cheap .
Mind you, I aint criticising the other benefits of the Storm of which there are several (despite no WiFi , which broke the deal for me) ; but given that this slow manner of input is the only one available ; perhaps you ought to have a second thought if you are planning to buy the Blackberry Storm.
