Tired of the whole Windows / Mac fight? Well, if you love Google then maybe you wouldnt mind running Android on your computers. While the operating system is meant for mobile devices only, thanks to its open source design a couple of geniuses managed to get it up and running on an Asus eeePC within a few hours. Not a bad wait at all. And while the end result still leaves a lot to be desired remember that the Android wasnt meant to be running on these systems and they didnt tweak it to get the best look / performance either.

Engadget prophesises that if this be the case, it shouldnt be long before a manufacturer decides to come out with a low cost PC / laptop which is powered by Android. The support from Google is surely there and a Powered by Google Android branding isnt too bad either.
