Book Time: The Page turning Robot
January 2, 2009

While I love to snuggle up in bed with my book for the week, I absolutely hate bringing my hands out of the quilt in order to turn pages. Holding the book is of course a chore too , but I have managed to find a middle ground between comfort to read and warmth. It would be great however if there was some way I could absolutely relax and let some robot do the turning. That was a wish until I cam across Book Time .

Book Time is an automatic page-turning robot developed by Nishizawa Electronic Measuring Instruments. It just won the Small to Medium-sized Venture Award from Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. While its meant for handicapped people, I am sure lazy bums can manage to fit in too. Pages can be turned by a simple press of a button, a breath-activated switch, or a large button activated by the users foot.

I do hope they have got some accessories on to this thing that keeps the popcorn or munchies to my mouth as well. Sigh, that would be the life.
