Ceiling Fan Speakers

Posted by Yash on January 13, 2009 3:11 PM

Having a ceiling fan that doubles as speakers doesnt sound like a great idea (no puns intended). Just keeping the ceiling fan on when the TV is on as well lets you know just how much disruption in sound and clarity the fan is responsible for. So one can only wonder how these fans are going to sound.

The speaker actually doesnt rotate with the fan which shows that the designer was at least thinking about this, but switch on the fan while you are listening to music and I doubt you are going to enjoy yourself. The speaker is located in the center below the blades and receives the audio signal from a Soundolier Maestro 2.4GHz wireless transmitter which you hook up to your stereo or iPod.
