Thats right, the company that you so far only associated with making the innards of hardware is now promising to come up with some exciting products for the consumer electronics industry. Cisco - which certainly doesnt come to mind when one thinks of well designed must own gadgets like Apple ; is working on several gizmos including one which will let people watch Internet video on their televisions more easily.

The company says it plans to introduce a new line of products in January, including a digital stereo system that is meant to move music wirelessly around a house. Expect some big announcements in this years CES. However Cisco does have a tough act to follow. Except Apple no other company has made a big dent in this industry. Examples include Dell and Microsoft (with the Zune).
