DRM (Music) gets death blow dealt by Apple

Posted by Yash on January 7, 2009 2:46 PM

As the owner of the largest online music store, Apple has a lot of power when it comes to downloading music online. One of the most common grouses of customers irritated by the use of DRM by companies such as Microsoft and Apple was that not only did DRM restrict the owners after having paid the full price , they often had to pay again if they lost the device onto which the song had been downloaded.

DRM was a horror story no matter what anyone might say and its just pure evil!

Apple has made a sensible decision which I am sure will not just encourage scores more (including myself) to buy from iTunes once again , but also to begin paying for music. Most of us dont mind paying for good music, but once we do buy it we certainly dont want any restrictions on it.
