Hungry? Ask your Wii for Food

Posted by Yash on January 1, 2009 1:19 PM

Adding video to the Wii may have been great news (for the Japanese at least) but not having to pause my gaming even to order food sounds like a dream come true for manic gamers. Once again, this is a Japan only feature (if you are tired of reading that , imagine how tired I must be of mentioning it all the time).

Its made possible by addition of a new channel called as the Food delivery channel. Japanese readers who may have used Demae-can.com to order food online would know this service and its the same one that has been tied up with the Nintendo Wii for home delivery. Wii owners will be able to order pizza, sushi, Chinese food, Japanese food, Western food, curry, etc. When you select one of those choices, a music selection that matches the food's mood will play on the Channel.

The food reaches you within 30 minutes , and there is even a random mode which allows the Wii to choose lunch or dinner for you depending on its mood.
