While scientists still cant figure out how to cut down on the recharging times required for electric cars, they did manage to invent something else. A networking system that allows you to transfer the latest music and any other data from your home computer / gadgets to the car via the same electrical wiring thats being used to charge up the batteries. Panasonic has invented the said system and is planning to show it off in the CES.
Named as HD-PLC , it stands for High-Definition Powerline Communications. Panasonic is wasting no time in publicising the system since it is in direct competition with the HomePlug Powerline Alliance and Universal Powerline Association. Its already set up a consortium or alliance of sorts with different vendors in order to propogate HD-PLC.
