A 11 year old fan of Sonic the Hedgehog was so upset that the city disallowed him from keeping hedgehogs as pets that he decided what comes to Americans naturally ; sue. It seems that hedgehogs were illegal in his city of Lawrence, in Kansas. As to why they were illegal, no one knew, it appears to be just another one of those laws that law makers love to create and enforce.

The eleven year old steadfastly hung on to his cause and gathered evidence for the next three years. At city hall, Judson arrived in a suit and tie and armed with personalized folders full of hedgehog facts for each of the commissioners. The city commissioners were so impressed that they found no reason to maintain the ban and it was immediately repealed.
