The norm all over the tech industry is to have a beta before the final launch. Of course Apple likes to be different. This is probably the only case that I have ever read or reported about where a Beta is being launched after the final version. However in the case of Apple App store, its better late than never.

While going without a stylus may seem the fashionable thing to do, the sad truth is that a stylus was more convenient and faster. It also made input more error free as compared to finger pushing. Perhaps its because you feel so comfortable with the iPhone that it invites you to use it like a PC rather than a phone. Whatever the case, the onscreen keyboard could certainly do with some major improvements.

With the zillions of must have iPhone app reviews flooding the web, it becomes extremely difficult to choose the best ones. Given that most of us are on a limited budget, no matter how much we would love to splurge on the iTunes store (to Mr. Jobs delight) ; we do have to hold the reigns tightly. Wordpress has finally managed to get aplugin for the iPhone 3G. Its surprising since usually its Movable Type playing catch up to Wordpress. Given Wordpresses veritable army of plugin writers, what took them so long? Better late then never. The iPhone plugin is the first open source app that lets you write posts, upload photos, and edit your WordPress blog from your iPhone or iPod Touch.

The whole of Europe is completely sold out of iPhones latest 3G variant. New stocks are also not expected to arrive before October which would mean that those who already got theirs would probably be able to demand a decent premium now that the unlocks are out. The 3G iPhone is still available sporadically around the United States with Apple releasing just enough stock daily to keep up interest.

Most of us may shout ourselves hoarse over the need to go green, to recycle , to save and consume thoughtfully ; but that certainly does not halt the march of capitalism. Disposable cell phones which I may grudgingly admit are convenient when you go to a foreign country , arent exactly the most environment friendly of ways to reduce your carbon footprint.

Cell Phones can now be broadly classfied into two major types : iPhonesque (no buttons, only touchscreen) or something completely novel - say something like the Eiffel Tower cell phone. Of course there are the occasional Samsung Clamshells and Nokia Vertus that one does come across from time to time but these can be by and large ignored in the larger tide of things.
