After several false starts and announcements, it seems that the Indian government is finally getting its act together. The 'Sakshat' computing device whose technical details have still not been announced , has been set up to be sold at a price of 35$ USD or 1500 INR

While we come across a lot of tall claims when it comes to fuel additives and the likes, there are a few technologies out there which make going through such claims worthwhile. A noteworth technology is the engine that runs on air. Another one is obviously the one that runs on electricity. While a electric engine or even a hybrid one that gives users the benefits of both a gasoline fueled and an electric engine are nothing new ; these technologies are still quite expensive.

The Third Generation Toyota Prius isnt just eyewash, Toyota have surpassed even themselves by coming up with a Prius that takes on the magical figure of 50 miles per gallon. The reduction in fuel consumption isnt by any count due to savings in car size or power. In fact, the Prius 2010 promises to be quieter, roomier, and equipped with advanced standard and available features such as a moonroof with solar panels, four driving modes, Intelligent Parking Assist (IPA) and steering wheel touch controls that display on the instrument panel.

Of the little mentioned things at the CES was the hand dryer. Coming from Dyson, titled as the Airblade , its probably the first dryer that didnt leave me looking for a tissue or trying to switch it on after it cut off since my hands were exactly the same as before. This impressive little gizmo uses what they call an air blade .

While we were still reeling from what we read about OLEDs and LCDs , out came Mitsubishi with an even more bizarre option - Laser TVs. Instead of using standard LCD’s in its screen, the LaserVue makes use of , you guessed it, Lasers. The 3D ready TV has a color range that is twice as broad as typical models and also consumes more than 30 percent less energy.

The sleek one incher from Panasonic encompasses a Wireless HD technology allowing you to hang the TV absolutely anywhere without worrying about any wires. Announced in the CES (yup, we are still clearing up the stuff that we need to bring to you) ; the worlds first Full HD home theater system is brought to you by Panasonic. The system was previously shown off in Japan, but this is the first time that it has been brought to the United States. As we well know, gadgets may be present in Japan but it can take years before the same make an appearance in the west.
