We have all seen the electric drum sticks with their own speakers built-in , but they did lack the all important LEDs that would let you play them in total darkness not to mention with uber coolness. Its been raining all sorts of musical gadgets lately. Of course none compare in terms of features to those Genius speakers which also had a touchscreen display in terms of display. But the starfish speakers do beat those when it comes to cuteness. Just the perfect accessory for a PC in the kids bedroom. Colorful and cute, they even have their own rechargeable batteries.

In my case with a barbeque being hosted at my place on this weekend, I was just making sure that everything had been accounted for. we heard about the Equaliser T-shirt and loved it so theres no reason why we wont love the same concept when its ported over onto a cap. After all a cap makes for much easy maintainence not to mention easy on the pocket to buy. The cap has its own unobtrusive battery pack at its back which powers the front graphic equaliser panel.

Speakers used to be just another accessory that you could plug into your computer or act as a dock for your music player. However with Genius equipping these bad boys with their own touch screen based controls (which I must admit looks infinitely more cooller then any other control that I have ever seen for speakers); its just like wondering why not just equip them with a USB port so all I need to do is load up some music on my portable memory stick and stick it on to the speakers to play it.

I read somewhere that some rich millionaire dude has had his house programmed to recognise him (he wears a RFID tag) and so that the level of ambient lighting, music, temperature etc just follow him from room to room. He doesnt need to make any adjustments upon entering a room, its all automatically taken care off. Now while I dont knwo how you could do the lighting and temperature bit, here is a gadget that lets you do that with the music part. Its called the AMP or Automated Musical Personality.

If it were any other company but Sony, I would have made a mockery of the whole thing. After all they just announced some golf ball sized speakers which they promised would be good enough for a home entertainment system. As if that was not a mean feat , Sony has now claimed the clear tube shaped speakers which shall deliver natural sound - whatever that might be. The speakers have been named as Sauntina and shall be available only in the Japanese markets.
